Marion County Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Hospitalized

Information is being sought by the Florida Highway Patrol regarding a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian battling for their life in a Marion County hospital in mid-July. Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol released reports regarding the incident that suggested the event took place sometime close to 8:30 on Friday, July 18th. The exact time is not clear as the event currently has no known witnesses. Instead, the badly injured pedestrian was discovered only after the collision took place, lying on the shoulder of the western lanes of Northeast Jacksonville Road, close to where this street intersects with Northeast 37th Lane. One Fatality, Multiple Injuries in Sumter County Crash

An ongoing investigation in Sumter County has resulted after a multi-vehicle crash took place on Monday, June 22nd, while motorists were traveling along the Florida Turnpike. Reports issued by the Florida Highway Patrol at the time of this writing suggested that the incident happened at mile marker 299 on the Florida Highway Patrol and involved at least three vehicles including two vans. Within the vehicles were numerous passengers, including an 84-year-old woman who was a resident of Pompano Beach. Read the rest »

Two Pickups Collide in Fatal Lake County Accident

A collision between two vehicles in Lake County resulted in a single fatality as well as one injury on Friday, May 15th. We know very little about the incident at this time, however the Florida Highway Patrol working within Lake County did release initial statements around the truck accident as well as their response that have aided us within the general public when it comes to a fuller understanding of the event in question.

Tampa Driver Runs Red Light, Dies in Two-Car Crash

An auto accident that took place towards the end of April resulted in the death of a Tampa resident, so say reports from the Florida Highway Patrol. The incident is believed to have occurred sometime during the night of Friday, April 24th, as a 43-year-old Tampa man was driving their car down State Road 574. It is not entirely clear where the individual was going, and we do not know where they were coming from. The reports did not mention whether or not the police believe that alcohol or excessive speed played any role in the incident.

Marion County Crash Involving Civilian, Two FHP Troopers

An investigation into a possible DUI is underway within Marion County after a drunk driving accident took place along Interstate 75 that resulted in a violent collision between a car and a cruiser with the Florida Highway Patrol. Reports from the FHP indicated that the incident began shortly before 9:30 when a pair of troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were inside of their cruiser, parked in a paved emergency lane along the side of the highway.

One Dead, Two Injured in Two-Car Crash in Osceola County

Two individuals are dead after a car accident within Osceola County that took place on the morning of Wednesday, April 1st. We know from reports issued by the Florida Highway Patrol that the incident took place along the eastern lanes of Interstate 4, somewhere around mile marker 61. The preliminary investigation also suggests that the crash happened close to 9:30 in the morning, although the exact time that the accident took place remains unknown.

A multi-car crash that took place within Flagler County on Saturday, March 21st, is believed to be responsible for the death of at least one person. While little is currently known about the reasons for the accident, it is clear that the incident remains under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol as they seek to uncover just what took place to cause the incident as well as who might be responsible. Reports from the Florida Highway Patrol within Flagler County currently possess the greatest amount of information as it pertains to this crash; however, these reports remain somewhat sparse regarding details, leaving us mostly in the dark as to the events in question.

Altamonte Springs Resident Arrested for Fatal October DUI Accident

Police within Altamonte Springs just recently arrested an individual in connection with a fatal automotive accident that took place in October of 2019. The reports from the Altamonte Springs Police Department indicated that it was on October 5th when a 75-year-old woman and her friend traveled to a local Carrabba’s for food and drinks. The two stayed at the restaurant for an unknown period of time while they consumed numerous appetizers and alcoholic beverages. When they left the building, it was nighttime.

Multiple Injuries in Crash Involving Pedestrians in Ocala

February 11, 2020

A Monday morning collision between a car and a pedestrian within the city of Ocala resulted in large lane closures along a stretch of South Pine Avenue. Reports from the Ocala Police Department incited that the pedestrian accident happened sometime during the morning on Monday, although the reports did not discuss just what time the emergency response teams were notified about the crash nor what time they arrived at the scene. The reports also failed to state just what is believed to have caused the incident.
