Marion County Hit-and-Run Leaves Pedestrian Hospitalized
Information is being sought by the Florida Highway Patrol regarding a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian battling for their life in a Marion County hospital in mid-July. Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol released reports regarding the incident that suggested the event took place sometime close to 8:30 on Friday, July 18th. The exact time is not clear as the event currently has no known witnesses. Instead, the badly injured pedestrian was discovered only after the collision took place, lying on the shoulder of the western lanes of Northeast Jacksonville Road, close to where this street intersects with Northeast 37th Lane. One Fatality, Multiple Injuries in Sumter County Crash
An ongoing investigation in Sumter County has resulted after a multi-vehicle crash took place on Monday, June 22nd, while motorists were traveling along the Florida Turnpike. Reports issued by the Florida Highway Patrol at the time of this writing suggested that the incident happened at mile marker 299 on the Florida Highway Patrol and involved at least three vehicles including two vans. The reports from the Altamonte Springs Police Department indicated that it was on October 5th when a 75-year-old woman and her friend traveled to a local Carrabba’s for food and drinks. The two stayed at the restaurant for an unknown period of time while they consumed numerous appetizers and alcoholic beverages. When they left the building, it was nighttime.
Multiple Injuries in Crash Involving Pedestrians in Ocala
A Monday morning collision between a car and a pedestrian within the city of Ocala resulted in large lane closures along a stretch of South Pine Avenue. Reports from the Ocala Police Department incited that the pedestrian accident happened sometime during the morning on Monday, although the reports did not discuss just what time the emergency response teams were notified about the crash nor what time they arrived at the scene. The reports also failed to state just what is believed to have caused the incident.
