Driver Believed Behind February Hit-and-Run in Orange County Arrested
Members of the Florida Highway Patrol working within Orange County have received a tremendous boost in their search for the driver responsible for a hit-and-run that took place along State Road 528 on the 23rd of February. According to the new reports, the incident itself took place sometime close to 11:30 at night, after a 70-year-old man ran out of gas while driving along State Road 528.
Single Truck Crash Leaves One Dead in Volusia County
A single truck crash that happened in Volusia County on the night of Saturday, May 18th, was still under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol as of later the following week. According to the initial reports from the incident, the collision is believed to have taken place sometime around 8:15 in the evening after a Ford pickup truck flipped just off of the eastern lanes of Interstate 4.

New Smyrna Beach Police Officer Crashes While Pursuing Suspected Shoplifter
It was close to 5:00 in the evening on Thursday, April 25th, when police within New Smyrna Beach began to receive reports of a suspected shoplifting incident at a Bealls outlet store. Several officers responded to the report, which indicated that the suspect had already fled the store and was driving away from the area. When the officers reached the area, they found that the suspect was no longer at the shopping center, but it took a seemingly short amount of time for an officer with the New Smyrna Beach Police Department to locate the suspect as they were traveling down the 3100 block of State Road 44.
Sunbather Unscathed After Being Run Over by Car in Nassau County
Officers working within Fernandina Beach are currently searching for an individual believed to be driving a light-colored Jeep Wrangler with a black canvas top that is responsible for an unusual hit-and-run that took place during the afternoon of Friday, April 26th. At this time (close to 4:30pm) an unnamed individual was sunbathing at Peters Point Park beach. This beach, which is located off of South Fletcher Avenue, stands in a part of Amelia Island which is unincorporated. Because of its location, it is a popular spot for locals to go and relax in the sand and the sun, which is exactly what the sunbather was doing.
Five-Car Pileup in Tavares After Collision Between Box Truck and Bus
Police working within the city of Tavares are currently investigating a collision that happened between a box truck and a city bus that resulted in a five-vehicle pileup on Thursday, April 11th. According to reports from the Tavares Police Department, the incident happened sometime in the afternoon, when people were beginning to make their way back from work to their homes.

Reports are just beginning to emerge from the Melbourne Police Department regarding a bicycle accident which took place within that city early on the morning of Friday, April 5th.
