Man Crashes Car into Port Orange Lake After Dispute

A marital dispute that happened in Port Orange this past Wednesday resulted in a car crashing into a small lake after the man driving the truck became so agitated when his partner told him she wanted a divorce that he decided such a course of action was the only one worth taking.  According to the report from the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office, the couple in question were inside of a pickup truck and driving down Reed Canal Road at close to 2:00 on Wednesday morning when the man’s partner, an unnamed woman, told him that she wanted to legally separate. Lake County Deputy Injured in Single Car Crash

A single-vehicle crash that took place early on Thursday morning resulted in the hospitalization of a deputy working for the Lake County Sheriff’s Department.  According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the deputy was on duty and in an official police vehicle when the incident occurred that sent the car off of the road and into a pair of trees, after which the cruiser overturned. Deadly Head-on Collision on Florida State Road 407

March 21, 2018

Two people were killed over the weekend following a head-on collision on State Road 407 and Interstate 95. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 55-year-old male was traveling northbound on State Road 407 in his 2016 Ford Edge. For a yet unknown reason, the vehicle moved into the southbound lanes, where it hit an oncoming 2000 Buick head on. Single Car Crash in Ocoee Results in Power Outage

A spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol issued a statement last Wednesday in reference to an incident that took place close to Ocoee in Orange County that resulted in one individual suffering from minor injuries and nearly 4,000 people without power to their homes.  The statement  does not fully explain the reasons behind the incident, but it is believed that this is because there is still an investigation underway. I-4 Ultimate workers are becoming more and more frustrated by drivers who, they say, are ignoring the traffic cones placed to prevent cars from coming too close to the men and women working on the construction site. A report from News 6 states construction workers were most recently alarmed by the disregard paid by drivers to the barriers preventing cars from using the eastbound ramp to I-4 that comes off of Michigan Street. One Dead after Single Car Crash in Volusia County

A crash that involved a single vehicle in Seville this past Sunday resulted in the death of one woman and the serious injury of two other individuals after the car in which they were traveling suddenly left the road.  The report from the Florida Highway Patrol members working inside of Volusia County does not provide much information regarding the specifics of the crash itself, and it is not clear if the car rolled over after leaving the road, if it collided with something on the road’s shoulder, or if something else perhaps occurred to ultimately cause the car to erupt into flames.
