Tavares Residents Decry Dangerous Intersection
Owners of restaurants and shops in Tavares are hoping that the local authorities do something about a heavily trafficked intersection off of Highway 441 that borders on Lake Eustis. Over the past several months, this intersection has been the site of several crashes involving single cars after the drivers of these cars failed to fully navigate a turn in the intersection. Because of the proximity to the water, drivers that find themselves trying to over correct a too-wide turn (or those who simply turn to wide and never have time to correct) are at risk of plowing through the flimsy guardrail and into the lake, a situation that occurred last Sunday. Fatal Collision on Orange County Turnpike
