One Dead in Merritt Island Road Rage Crash

Police working on Merritt Island are engaged in a search for a person believed to be behind a hit-and-run fatality that happened this past Saturday, July 21st.  The initial reports from the area indicated that the incident took place at an unspecified time in the afternoon as two vehicles were traveling down State Road 528, or the Beachline Expressway. Hit-and-Run Driver Sought After Apopka Crash

An incident that took place in Apopka this past Friday left police with the Apopka Police Department searching for a hit-and-run driver who ran a stop sign, struck a vehicle, and very nearly collided with a house.  Initial reports from the Apopka Police Department indicate that the incident happened sometime in the afternoon of Friday, July 20th, and that they began at a stop sign located along Hawthorne Avenue. Driver Crashes After Heart Attack on I-4 in Volusia County

This past Friday, July 20th, an individual was driving a car with members of his family down northbound Interstate 4, inside of Volusia County, when he suffered from a heart attack.  According to reports from the Volusia County Police Department, the person was behind the wheel of a Chevy SUV.  Inside of the car were the driver and numerous others, all relatives. DUI Issued for Florida Man Who Only Drank at Stop Signs

Towards the end of June, on the 27th, police working within Indian County town of Vero Beach were notified by an alarmed motorist regarding another driver who seemed to be operating their car in an unsafe manner.  According to the caller, they were trying to get through a drive-thru at a McDonalds when another vehicle pulled up behind them.  Read the rest »

Three Struck by Car While Crossing Apopka Street

An incident that took place in the city of Apopka on Wednesday, July 11th,  left several people, including two children, injured and in the hospital.  According to an official report by troopers with the Florida Highway patrol, several people were standing along the side of Thompson Road, waiting for a break in traffic before they began to cross the street.  Read the rest »

Kissimmee Pedestrian Struck and Killed

Police with the Florida Highway Patrol are in the process of investigating a deadly collision between a car and a 54-year-old man from Kissimmee that took place on the evening of Saturday, July 7th. Initial reports on the incident are not completely clear on just what happened, but we do know that it was just before 12:00 at night when the individual was struck by a car while walking down Orange Blossom Trail. One Dead After Car and Motorcycle Collide in Orange County

A crash that happened in Orange County on Thursday, June 28th, is under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol. Initial reports on the incident state that the motorcycle accident occurred shortly after 9:00 in the morning and involved at least two vehicles: a 2012 Toyota Camry and a Yamaha motorcycle. The two vehicles were traveling down either Old Cheney Highway or Coletta Drive, and it was at the intersection of these two streets that the collision took place.

Marion Police Looking for Answers in Drag Racing Death

Police working within Marion County are still looking for answers regarding a traffic incident that resulted in the death of a 44-year-old Ocala man believed to be involved in a drag race on the 21st of April.  According to official police reports, the incident happened inside of County Road 316’s eastbound lanes, where the posted speed limit is 55 miles per hour.  Based on the severity of the damage done to the 44-year-old’s car, authorities believe the vehicles involved in the crash were traveling at far greater speeds. Police Chase From Orange-Seminole County Ends in Crash

Orange County deputies on duty this past Friday became involved in a chase that spanned several counties throughout Florida and ended in a collision between a car and a fence.  Reports from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office state that the event began after deputies attempted to perform an arrest on a 19-year-old individual who was wanted in connection with an armed robbery.  Read the rest »

One Dead in Crash At Orange Blossom Trail Intersection

A collision between a Toyota van and a Chevy Impala at the intersection of Old 441 and Orange Blossom Trail this past Thursday (June 21st) resulted in one death and several injuries as well as an investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol that remains underway even at the time of this writing.  What seems clear is that the incident happened close to 4:00 in the afternoon, after a woman from Mount Dora who was driving the Impala down Old 441 attempted to make a turn from this road onto Orange Blossom Trail.
