Driver Killed After Striking Tree near Orlando

A 25 year old male from Apopka, Florida died recently after crashing his car into a tree. The crash happened near Orlando, in Orange County. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the automobile accident happened just after midnight on Colonial and Semon drives. The victim was driving his 2015 Nissan Altima west on State Road 50. When he attempted to change lanes to pass another vehicle, he lost control of his car, causing it to travel down into the embankment, strike a tree and overturn. Heavy Rains Lead to Increase in Orlando Car Accidents

Florida Highway Patrol troopers say they expect to see an increase in Orlando car crashes following the heavy rains that have hit Central Florida in recent weeks. Just last Monday, within a window of just four hours, the FHP reported responding to over 100 automobile accidents in Orange County – the majority of which were caused by the slippery road conditions caused by the day’s ongoing rainfall. With more rain in the forecast, FHP announced that it has assigned an additional eight troopers to help respond to crashes.  Read the rest »

Multi-Car Accident Shuts Down Lanes around Orlando International Airport

An accident that took place on Saturday resulted in numerous delays in the traffic flow around the Orlando International Airport.  Although details about the accident are scant, it seems as though the crash occurred close to the airport’s northern exit.  It was about 12:00 in the afternoon when this happened.  Emergency crews arrived quickly to the site and began helping remove the damaged vehicles from the area in order to allow traffic to flow smoothly once again. Orlando Woman Dies in Pedestrian vs Vehicle Accident

An Orlando woman recently died from injuries sustained after being hit by two vehicles on Interstate 275. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the 23 old female was a passenger in a vehicle that was stopped on the northbound side of the interstate, near mile marker 23. For yet unknown reasons, the female ran west across the interstate, at which point she was hit by a 2016 Chevrolet Malibu driven by a 53 year old female and a 2009 Toyota Highlander that was driven by a 45 year old female. Infant Child In Critical Condition after Orlando Crash

A car accident took place in Orlando on Tuesday night that has left a 19-week-old baby in critical condition. The crash happened close to 9:45 in the evening at the intersection of West Washington Street and North Orange Blossom Trail. According to the spokesperson for the Orlando Fire Department, Ashley Papagni, the crash involved two vehicles, although it is not known whether or not either of the vehicles contained any additional passengers or if either of the two drivers were injured in the accident. One Dead in Fiery Tampa Car Crash

A fatal crash on the east side of Howard Frankland Bridge in Tampa, Florida last week blocked traffic both direction for hours. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the rush hour car accident took place in the southbound lanes near the Kennedy Boulevard exit. Read the rest »

Speeding Driver Causes Fatal Accident in Orange County

Kenrick Moss, a 24-year-old, was driving down State Road 528 in Orange County at 8:40 on Friday Morning. For reasons that are not clear, Moss, who was behind the wheel of a 2001 Honda, was driving at 92mph, far exceeding the speed limit for this stretch of road. While going this speed, Moss drove past a Florida Highway Patrol officer who was in the process of checking the speed of passing drivers. Update on 10-Year-Old Hit by Truck in Palm Bay

On Wednesday, we reported on an accident between a 10-year-old boy returning home from school on his bicycle who was struck by a truck while at the intersection of Palm Bay’s Eldron Boulevard and Bayside Lakes Boulevard. Today we are updating the story due to its tragic outcome. The boy, who has still not been named, was quickly transported to the Palm Bay Hospital, but unfortunately the efforts of the first responders and the doctors at the hospital itself were not enough to save the boy from the catastrophic injuries he suffered. Crash Between School Bus and Motorcyclist in Longwood Sends Biker to Hospital

Tuesday Morning, in Longwood, a Seminole County school bus was transporting numerous students to school when a motorcyclist lost control of her bike and slammed into the bus’ side. Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol have released their current timeline of events and it discusses how the incident happened that has resulted in one person being hospitalized. According to the report, Kimberly Rosselot, a Longwood resident, was driving her 2015 Honda motorcycle eastward along Acorn Drive when she approached Longwood Lake Mary Road.
