Truck Backs Over Woman In Orange County

A deadly incident occurred in Orange County at the end of last week involving a pedestrian and a semi-truck that was parked behind the Dollar General located at 3986 S. Orange Blossom Trail. The Florida Highway Patrol issued a statement after the accident that provides us with the most important details, however the statement concludes with the notice that the incident is still under investigation, which means that additional pieces of information may still emerge. Two Children Injured in Rear-End Collision in Cocoa

Several Mondays ago, an incident took place in Cocoa that resulted in two children being injured. Police with the Cocoa Beach Police Department issued a statement shortly after the event which detailed all of the concrete facts of the case as well as highlighted the aspects of the case which are still under investigation by the authorities. What we do know is that at some time shortly before 11:00 in the morning, an unnamed woman was behind the wheel of a Chevy Impala and driving the car down the northbound lanes of U.S. Highway 1, just inside of Cocoa. Osceola County Head-On Crash leaves One Dead

A horrific accident in Osceola County a little over a week ago resulted in one death and four other injuries, two of them serious. A report from the Florida Highway Patrol recounts how a GMC SUV was headed westbound on State Road 60, close to 2:30 in the afternoon, when the driver, the 43-year-old Santana, lost control of the vehicle. Christmas Eve Hit-and-Run in Volusia County Totals Car

A woman in New Smyrna Beach is still amazed she survived a hit-and-run collision that took place on Christmas Eve in Volusia County. According to the official report, Cobb was driving down State Road 44, when her car was suddenly struck by a black pickup truck. The force of the collision sent Cobb’s vehicle wildly spinning across the road. Cobb says she could see a lighting pole rapidly approaching, but at the last moment she managed to swerve her car away from the solid object and into a ditch. Read the rest »

Orange County High-Speed Chase Ends in Crash

Early last Monday morning, a deputy with the Orange County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling State Road 408, close to Old Winter Garden Road, when they attempted to make a routine traffic stop on a vehicle that was not described in the preliminary report. When the deputy activated their emergency lights, the driver of the other car hit the gas and drove away at a rate which almost lost the pursing deputy. Read the rest »

Fairbanks Curve Location of Multiple Crashes

A week ago, on Saturday, the Orlando area suffered from an evening of rain which left the roads slick and dangerous. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, numerous crashes occurred as a result of the inclement weather, with the bulk of them happening between the hours of 2:00 and 11:00 in the morning. The crash that began the difficult early hours occurred close to mile marker 87 on I-4 West, near the Fairbanks curve. Single Car Crash in Orlando Leaves Three Dead

A horrific accident in Orlando last Tuesday has resulted in the death of three individuals, one of whom is believed to be a child. According to a spokesperson for the Orlando Police Department, Sgt. Bernal, an Orlando Police Department deputy was on routine patrol near Colonial Drive and Silverton Street when they were alarmed by an extremely loud crashing sound. Palm Tran Bus Loses Two Tires on Interstate 95

A bus driver with the Palm Tran bus service was traveling northbound on Interstate 95 this past Thursday when a bizarre and terrifying incident occurred. According to a spokesperson for Palm Tran Public Transportation, it was around 7:15 in the morning when the incident occurred, close to where Interstate 95 crosses Woolbright Road in the city of Boynton Beach. Footage from the bus itself shows what happened in great detail: as the bus is driving down the right lane of I-95, one of the rear tires can be seen rolling across the road, away from the bus and towards the center median. The bus itself, clearly out of control, then careens towards the center median, crashing into the rear of a black pickup truck before slamming into the center divider. Read the rest »

Driver Issued Citation After Crash along Interstate 4

December 1, 2017

On Tuesday morning, just before 6:00, Suprice, a Deltona resident, was behind the wheel of a tractor-trailer as he made his way down one of the right, westbound lanes of Interstate 4, outside of Orlando. At the same time, a man named Pollard was driving a Kia in the leftmost western bound lane. Suprice told members of the Florida Highway Patrol that as he neared State Road 408 he heard a surprisingly loud boom from his truck. Then he lost control of the vehicle. Pollard had been trying to pass the tractor-trailer, and at the time when Suprice claims he heard a loud noise the Kia was directly to the tractor-trailer’s left side. Read the rest »
