Family Rescued After Car Crashes into Orlando Retention Pond
On Thursday, December 10th, a 44-year-old individual was driving a red Nissan Sentra, his two children in the vehicle with him, when he lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a retention pond. It was close to 7:30 at night when the 44-year-old and his children were traveling close to Lee Vista Boulevard and Vista East Parkway. It was dark, and so the trio were not able to anticipate the sudden appearance of an animal running across the roadway. In order to try and avoid striking the animal, the driver of the car jerked the wheel of the Sentra, a situation which caused him to lose control of the vehicle. Read the rest »
Orlando Teen Killed in Car vs. Pedestrian Accident
An Orlando teen was killed over the weekend in a hit and run crash. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the 17 year old was walking east on the paved shoulder of Orange Blossom Trail, near Hope Street, in Osceola County when he was hit and killed by an eastbound vehicle. Read the rest »
Elderly Man Collides with Vehicle in Orlando Wrong-Way Crash
On Monday, October 19th, 2015, 84-year-old Porfirio Perez of Orlando was driving south in the northbound lanes of State Road 417. Despite attempts by a Seminole County Sheriff to alert Perez to his error and stop him from driving in the wrong direction by flashing his lights and blaring his sirens, the front corner of Perez’s 2005 PT Cruiser hit the front end of 55-year-old Kevin Cannon’s 2005 Lexus. Cannon was also carrying a 15-year-old passenger, Sean Cannon. Both drivers involved in the crash were taken to a nearby hospital for serious injuries, while the teenage passenger was (luckily) taken in for only minor injuries.

Florida Woman Faces Charges in Connection With Crash That Injured Grandson
A Flagler Beach woman is facing charges in connection with a 2010 car accident that gravely injured her grandson. Police say the 43-year-old woman and her grandson were traveling on Old Kings Road in Palm Coast on September 19, 2010 when she lost control of her vehicle. The vehicle collided with a telephone pole, and the collision was so violent that the car was split in two by the impact. The boy suffered critical injuries in the accident and was airlifted to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children in Orlando, where doctors induced a coma that lasted nearly two weeks to save his life. The driver suffered minor injuries in the crash and, according to the Flagler County Clerk of Court, now faces felony charges of DUI and DUI with serious bodily injury.
