Polk City Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident
Sgt. Kim Montes, the spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol, has released partial details about a crash that occurred in Orange County this past Sunday that left one individual dead. The details, while scant, paint a partial picture of the events, although it is likely that the friends and loved ones of the victim will be looking for more answers in the days and weeks to come. What is known is that Jay Tackett, a 59-year-old from Polk City, was driving their motorcycle along State Road 417. Seated behind him on the bike was Dorrie Tackett, also a 59-year-old Polk City resident. For reasons that are not clear at the time of this writing, Jay Ticket decided to change lanes. Orlando Man Seeks Compensation Against Uninsured Motorist
An Orlando man has filed a lawsuit against progressive Select Insurance Co. alleging negligence. The complaint, which extends from a May 13 2013 automobile accident happening at the intersection of Oakridge Road and Millenia Boulevard in Orlando, was filed on May 11 2017 in the 9th Judicial Circuit Court of Florida – Orange County. Motorcyclist And Two Others Hospitalized in Jacksonville Crash
Three people were hospitalized in Jacksonville as a result of a serious motorcycle crash on West Beaver Street and Acorn Street on Friday, October 23rd. The collision occurred around 10:49 p.m. between a single-rider motorcycle and a car carrying two passengers. According to police who arrived on the scene, the motorcyclist and both passengers of the car were taken to the hospital while the driver of the car stayed behind. The driver is said to have cooperated openly with the officers at the crash site.

St. Petersburg Motorcycle Crash Results in Fatality
A motorcycle accident that occurred Sunday evening in St. Petersburg resulted in the fatality of a female passenger. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, at approximately 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, a Suzuki motorcycle was traveling southbound on I-275 in St. Petersburg when the motorcycle veered sharply onto the shoulder and struck a guardrail. The motorcycle continued down an embankment, hitting trees along the way. The male driver of the motorcycle, along with the female passenger were thrown from the bike. Both were wearing helmets. The 25-year-old female was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver of the motorcycle was taken to Bayfront Health in St. Petersburg with critical injuries.

Lake Mary 19-Year-Old Dies in Motorcycle Accident
An accident Thursday afternoon has resulted in the death of a 19-year-old Lake Mary resident. At around 2:40 p.m., Ian Maggard was traveling on Lake Way Road when a 2013 Prius attempted to make a left hand turn in front of him. Maggard saw the Prius begin to turn and laid down his 2008 Kawasaki motorcycle on its side before slamming into the passenger side of the Prius.

Lake County Motorcycle Accident Claims Two Lives
Accident investigators report that two people were killed in a recent motorcycle accident in Howey-in-the-Hills when an elderly driver crossed the centerline and struck their motorcycle head-on. Police report that the accident occurred around 2:30 p.m. on State Road 19 near Savage Circle. They say that a Jacksonville couple was riding their motorcycle north on S.R. 19 when a southbound Toyota sedan driven by a 74-year-old Howey-in-the-Hills woman crossed the yellow line and into the path of a group of four motorcycles.
