Polk City Woman Dies in Motorcycle Accident
Sgt. Kim Montes, the spokesperson for the Florida Highway Patrol, has released partial details about a crash that occurred in Orange County this past Sunday that left one individual dead. The details, while scant, paint a partial picture of the events, although it is likely that the friends and loved ones of the victim will be looking for more answers in the days and weeks to come. What is known is that Jay Tackett, a 59-year-old from Polk City, was driving their motorcycle along State Road 417. Seated behind him on the bike was Dorrie Tackett, also a 59-year-old Polk City resident. For reasons that are not clear at the time of this writing, Jay Ticket decided to change lanes.
