Police Chase through Marion County Ends with Two Dead

Last Friday night, police in Marion County began pursuing the 26-year-old Wildwood resident Jacquard Cuyler as he sped away from the would-be captors in his Volkswagen Jetta. Exploding Takata Air Bag Kills Florida Woman

A 34 year old Florida woman was killed by an exploding Takata air bag inflator following a recent car crash near Tampa. Although authorities have not confirmed the cause of death, all evidence points to the woman being the 19th person (and the 13th in the US) to have been killed by the malfunctioning Takata air bag. Residents in Apopka Complain about Frequent Accidents

A woman from Apopka was alarmed on Sunday morning when she heard a loud crashing sound from outside her home. She rose from the spot on her couch where she had been breastfeeding her baby and looked out the window. Right in front of her mailbox, which sits beside Lake Francis Drive, she saw an overturned car, the wheels still spinning. Shortly afterwards, a young woman crawled out of one of the car’s windows. Conditions along Palm Bay Roads Concern Residents

Palm Bay Florida possess some exquisite views of the ocean as well as the scenic Indian River: a charming community that most people agree is a wonderful place to live. That is, of course, unless you live along Weiman Road. Recently, residents along this stretch of asphalt have become increasingly upset at the city’s lack of attention to the road conditions. One of them, Krystle Vanderpluym-Hansen, spoke to news agencies regarding the appalling conditions of the road, saying that when she and her family moved to the area they assumed that the city would fix the pothole-scored and horribly maintained asphalt. Multiple Motorcycles Involved in Florida Crash

A Florida motorcycle crash involving three motorcycles and a total of six people sent two to the hospital last weekend. The accident happened when two of the motorcycles crashed on an on ramp, causing their passengers to be thrown from the vehicles. The one passenger was a 36 year old male, the other a 40 year old woman. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital and treated for what police have listed as ‘moderate injuries’. 7,000 Pound Metal Pipe Crushes Van’s Roof

Last weekend, as 33-year-old male from Kissimmee, Florida was driving a Mack truck loaded with scrap metal was negotiating a curve on Interstate 4 near the State Road 528 exit, he somehow lost control of his truck. The truck swerved, hit the guardrail and overturned. The impact caused a nearly 7,000 pound metal pipe that the truck was carrying to fly off and tumble off the overpass, where some landed directly on the roof of a Pontiac van being driven by a 36 year old Orlando native.

Rainy Weather Cause of Orlando Car Accident

Rainy weather is being blamed for a recent Orlando motor vehicle accident that sliced a car in half. According to Melbourne, Florida police, the single-car crash happened around 4:00 pm on NASA Boulevard near the Orlando – Melbourne International Airport. The police believe that the rain-covered roads caused the vehicle to hydroplane before hitting a pole nearby Eddie Allen Road. Paramedics rushed to the scene and took the victim, who was conscious, to the hospital. Nobody else is reported to having been injuring during the incident.

8-Year-Old Dead after SUV Flips in St. Cloud

An SUV carrying eight people flipped over while travelling along U.S. 192 in Osceola County late Sunday night. According to the Florida Highway Patrol’s report, the crash occurred around 11:45 p.m., close to where U.S. 192 intersects with Deer Park Road. Based on the evidence they have been able to compile, the Florida Highway Patrol stated that an unnamed 40-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a 2002 Toyota Sequoia when the treads on one of the rear tires suddenly separated.

Man Arrested on DUI after Woman Falls out of Golf Cart in Wildwood

A 36-year-old man from North Carolina named Timothy Jacob Foxworth was in Wildwood on Sunday, visiting to his parents who live in The Villages, when he was involved in an incident that resulted in both DUI and hit-and-run charges. The Wildwood Police Department issued a statement regarding the events that led to this situation, beginning with Foxworth’s decision to borrow his dad’s golf cart in order to travel from his parent’s house to a bar located at Brownwood Square. It is believed that at this point in time Foxworth was traveling alone. Read the rest »
