Pedestrian Killed while Crossing Orange Blossom Trail
A person driving a Jeep Cherokee down Orange Blossom Trail in Orange County was reportedly unable to avoid a collision with a pedestrian early on Sunday morning, an accident which resulted in the death of the pedestrian and a continuing investigation by members of the Florida Highway Patrol. Video taken by a concerned civilian was recently released by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office in relation to an incident that took place this past Sunday evening along a two-lane one-way road in Sarasota. Horse Dead, Trucker Injured after Collision in Polk City
Two truck drivers and one horse were involved in a violent crash that took place in Polk City this past Wednesday morning. Deputies with the Polk County Police Department wrote a report that detailed some of the elements of the early morning crash, although much of the information regarding the incident is unknown. Palm Coast Woman Arrested after Drunken Collision
Towards the end of March, on a Friday, deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office received a call alerting them to a possible crash at an intersection along the Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast. According to the caller, they and another witness had observed a brown Volkswagen Jetta driving erratically, and when the car passed through the intersection of Palm Coast Parkway and Cypress Point Parkway it had collided with another vehicle. Man Crashes into Winter Park Home, Claims to be FBI Agent
Police in Winter Park faced a bewildering scenario after receiving a call indicating that a collision had taken place between a truck and a private residence. According to the official report from the Winter Park Police Department, the ordeal began after a man behind the wheel of a large truck (the report did not say if it was a pickup truck or some other, larger, vehicle) drove off of the road and directly into the side of someone’s home. Ocala Mom En Route to Get Kids, Arrested on DUI Charges
A woman in Ocala is currently facing DUI charges after deputies arrested her while she made her way to retrieve her children from a local school. The official report from deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office indicates that they were alerted by a witness to the woman’s driving. This witness told the deputies that a tan Acura was driving in an erratic pattern down the road, weaving in and out of lanes, and at one point leaving its lane entirely and traveling down the incorrect side of the highway for a sustained period of time.
