One Rider Killed, Another Seriously Injured in Florida Motorcycle Accident
An Orange County motorcycle accident has killed one rider and seriously injured another, according to accident investigators with the Florida Highway Patrol. FHP officials say that the accident occurred on State Road 520 at Beachline around 11:00 a.m. on September 3. They say a motorcycle carrying two riders was being pulled over by an Orange County Sherriff’s Deputy for speeding when it was struck from behind by a pickup truck. Officers say the rider had slowed to pull over when the truck came from behind quickly and collided with the motorcycle without slowing to avoid the collision.
Local Man Killed in Central Florida Motorcycle Accident
A recent central Florida motorcycle accident has claimed the life of a 19-year-old former student and football player at Lake Brantley High School. The accident remains under investigation, but police say it occurred on the evening of July 12. Investigators say a car heading south on North Hunt Club Boulevard in Seminole County attempted to turn left onto Winchester Place, turning in front of the man riding a Suzuki who was traveling north. The motorcyclist did not have time to take evasive action and struck the side of the car.

Alcohol Considered a Contributing Factor in Fatal Motorcycle Accident
Florida Highway Patrol accident investigators believe that alcohol was a contributing factor in a fatal motorcycle accident that claimed the life of an Apopka man on June 5. Police say the 37-year-old suspect was driving his van out of the Loyal Order of Moose lodge parking lot near Orange Blossom Trail and Rosamond Drive around 9:00 that evening when the accident occurred.
