October 5, 2015

Like most Floridians, we welcome October. The sun is bright and beautiful, but it isn’t too hot. Moreover, the humidity is down. And, if you’re a dedicated motorcyclist, you’re looking forward to Biketoberfest®, too. Each year, well over 100,000 riders participate in this internationally renowned multi-day motorcycle celebration.

This area event, which runs from October 15th through the 18th, is right around the bend. Riders look forward to hitting the road with like-minded motorcyclists. Together they enjoy the River to River Tour, Old City Rendezvous, Steel Horse Scoot, and other popular routes. Bikers return to Biketoberfest® year after year, however, for much more than the unforgettable rides.

Shop Motorcycles, Accessories, Parts, and More

Riders travel from near and far for the Biketoberfest® vendors alone. Favorites vending locations include:

  • Hot Leathers
  • Biker Design
  • Tombstone Silverworks
  • Carl’s Speed Shop
  • …and many more.

Live Music, Nightlife, and Other Entertainment

On October 15th, many riders will celebrate the completion of the day-one festivities with a Bob Seger tribute band, Night Moves, at the Daytona Beach Kennel Club and Poker Room’s Budweiser Stage.

Throughout the week, The Full Moon Saloon concert lineup will feature the rockin’ musical stylings of Hayfire, Groove Bone, Get It Hot, and others. Additionally, The Bank and Blues Club, which is located at the heart of the festival, is proud to be showcasing Swamp Juice, the Razorbacks, Michael Hartman, and Strut. Dirty Harry’s Pub offers perhaps the most diverse entertainment: from live DJs to a zombie costume contest, their lineup isn’t to be missed either.

As visitors near the end of the celebration, many will enjoy live music by Jackyl on October 17th at the world’s largest Harley showroom, Bruce Rossmeyer’s Destination Daytona at 1637 North US Highway 1 Ormond Beach.

And, of course, almost everyone has at least heard of the infamous Main Street Bars such as Boot Hill Saloon and Froggy’s. Many festivalgoers feel that a Biketoberfest® without a night or two spent on this historic street is no Biketoberfest® at all.

Experienced Representation For Injured Motorcyclists

Biketoberfest® guests witness professional racing at the Daytona International Speedway, and they enjoy historic roadways on their own cruisers, as well.

Unfortunately, however, riding comes with inherent dangers. No matter how careful you are, you can’t control the habits and behaviors of the other drivers on the road. If you’ve been injured in a Daytona Beach Biketoberfest® motorcycle accident, James O. Cunningham is here to help. Since 1977, we’ve been assisting local motorcyclists and out-of-state visitors with legal representation. If you need help, please call our office today at 386-243-4994.
