Numerous people were injured and hospitalized after an incident that happened this past Wednesday in Orange County. According to reports from the Orange County Fire Rescue service, it was close to 8:00 in the evening when numerous vehicles became helplessly intertwined along Narcoossee Road, close to where this street crosses Sanctuary Crossing Road. While the report from the Orange County Fire Rescue did not offer many details relating to the circumstances around the collision, it does seem apparent that the auto accident was a serious one and that numerous people suffered from injuries as a result.
Just after 8:00 on August 1st, calls began coming in to emergency response centers in Orange County regarding the crash. It is not clear who placed these calls, if it was a person in one of the vehicles involved or a witness to the collision, but the urgency of the callers resulted in numerous emergency response vehicles — including paramedics and EMTs — rushing to the scene of the accident to offer medical and rescue assistance.
With members of the Orange County Fire Rescue as well as numerous units from the Florida Highway Patrol and other Orange County authorities on hand, the occupants of the three cars involved in the crash began to receive medical care. As the rescue operation continued, it became clear that several of the people involved were injured enough to require transportation to nearby hospitals. Officially, two of the people in the crash were rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center and one of the people in the collision was rushed to Arnold Palmer Children’s Hospital. The age of the child was not indicated in the initial report.
None of the injuries suffered by the people involved in the accident was described in any advanced detail, and at the time of this writing we are also in the dark regarding the current condition of the people involved. It is not clear if they are still recovering inside of the hospital or if they were released after the preliminary treatment they received at the medical center.
The accident is still under investigation and it is not believed that any charges have yet been filed.
