Orlando Driver Receives 22-Year Sentence for Fatal Road Rage Accident

An area judge recently announced that a 48-year-old man will serve 22½ years in prison for his involvement in a road rage incident that killed a 30-year-old Orlando woman. Circuit Judge Beth Harlan recently handed down the sentence after prosecutors had requested a 30-year sentence. Jurors in the case found that the man was guilty of vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident and reckless driving for the May 2010 incident.

Accident investigators found that the man became angry after another driver pulled in front of him. The man then swerved into the other driver’s lane, forcing him to drive into oncoming traffic, where he crashed head-on into the victim’s car, killing her. After the accident, the angry man kept driving but was followed by a witness who wrote down his license plate number and contacted police.
