Man Arrested on DUI after Woman Falls out of Golf Cart in Wildwood
A 36-year-old man from North Carolina named Timothy Jacob Foxworth was in Wildwood on Sunday, visiting to his parents who live in The Villages, when he was involved in an incident that resulted in both DUI and hit-and-run charges. The Wildwood Police Department issued a statement regarding the events that led to this situation, beginning with Foxworth’s decision to borrow his dad’s golf cart in order to travel from his parent’s house to a bar located at Brownwood Square. Senator Rubio’s Daughter Injured in Florida Golf Cart Accident
Senator Marco Rubio’s 12-year-old daughter is listed in stable condition at Miami Children’s Hospital after a golf cart accident in Lakewood Crest. The girl was reportedly visiting classmates in a private gated community when the golf cart she was riding on was involved in a collision. She was airlifted to Miami Children’s Hospital with a head injury and is currently listed in fair condition in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
Recent Deadly Florida Golf Cart Accident Sheds Light on Dangers of These Vehicles
Recently, a 27-year-old Land O’ Lakes woman was killed when she was thrown from a golf cart making a left turn and fell on the pavement at an area country club. The victim and her friend were riding on the cart at Lake Padgett Estates when they tried to turn left onto the driveway of a neighborhood park. The friend was driving the golf cart at the time, and, when he turned, she was ejected from the cart and suffered massive head trauma, which caused her death.
