Florida Man Asks Cop for Directions, Arrested on DUI

Police working in Boynton Beach were handed an unusually easy DUI arrest this past Sunday after an inebriated man approached them to ask for directions.  According to initial reports, the incident began after the Boynton Beach Police Department had pulled over a car as part of a routine traffic stop.  The reports issued around the incident do not indicate just what the initial traffic stop was in relation to, and it is not clear just how that first interaction ended.  It was while the officers were talking with the driver of the first car that another person approached them. DUI Manslaughter Charges for Woman Behind Fatal Marion County Crash

On May 10th, an Ocala woman was behind the wheel of a 2011 Chevrolet Avalon and driving down the eastern lanes of U.S. Highway 27 in Marion County when she collided with the rear of a Hyundai Elantra that was stopped in a line of traffic.  Florida Highway Patrol personnel released a statement about the incident, and since the time of the initial statement some updates to the story have emerged. Palm Coast Woman Arrested after Drunken Collision

Towards the end of March, on a Friday, deputies with the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office received a call alerting them to a possible crash at an intersection along the Palm Coast Parkway in Palm Coast.  According to the caller, they and another witness had observed a brown Volkswagen Jetta driving erratically, and when the car passed through the intersection of Palm Coast Parkway and Cypress Point Parkway it had collided with another vehicle. Ocala Mom En Route to Get Kids, Arrested on DUI Charges

A woman in Ocala is currently facing DUI charges after deputies arrested her while she made her way to retrieve her children from a local school.  The official report from deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office indicates that they were alerted by a witness to the woman’s driving.  This witness told the deputies that a tan Acura was driving in an erratic pattern down the road, weaving in and out of lanes, and at one point leaving its lane entirely and traveling down the incorrect side of the highway for a sustained period of time. Man Charged with DUI Manslaughter after Killing Bicyclist in Ocala

Police in Marion County have arrested a man believed to be driving while intoxicated when he struck and killed a bicyclist in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 8th.  A spokesperson for the Ocala Police Department told reporters that the 41-year-old Ocala resident was behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 when he turned down the eastern lanes of Northeast 24th Street at close to 2:00 in the morning.  At the same time, a 33-year-old on a bicycle was driving down the western lane of Northeast 24th Street. Speeding Car Runs Red Light, Leaves One Dead in Florida

An Orlando area man faces a laundry list of charges following an accident that left one dead. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, an FHP trooper was conducting a standard speed enforcement check on Interstate 75 when he clocked a Nissan Altima driven by a 23-year-old male from Plant City, Florida traveling at a speed of 92 miles per hour. DUI Charges for Flagler County Man Who Crashed Truck

The dangerous driving of an intoxicated man in Flagler ended last Monday after he crashed his car into a canal. Deputies working for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office were first alerted to the possibility of an impaired driver when numerous witnesses called emergency services to report the erratic driving of a Ford F-150 throughout Bunnell, specifically near Redwood Street.
