Florida Man Asks Cop for Directions, Arrested on DUI

Police working in Boynton Beach were handed an unusually easy DUI arrest this past Sunday after an inebriated man approached them to ask for directions.  According to initial reports, the incident began after the Boynton Beach Police Department had pulled over a car as part of a routine traffic stop.  The reports issued around the incident do not indicate just what the initial traffic stop was in relation to, and it is not clear just how that first interaction ended.  It was while the officers were talking with the driver of the first car that another person approached them. DUI Manslaughter Charges for Woman Behind Fatal Marion County Crash

On May 10th, an Ocala woman was behind the wheel of a 2011 Chevrolet Avalon and driving down the eastern lanes of U.S. Highway 27 in Marion County when she collided with the rear of a Hyundai Elantra that was stopped in a line of traffic.  Florida Highway Patrol personnel released a statement about the incident, and since the time of the initial statement some updates to the story have emerged. Ocala Mom En Route to Get Kids, Arrested on DUI Charges

A woman in Ocala is currently facing DUI charges after deputies arrested her while she made her way to retrieve her children from a local school.  The official report from deputies with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office indicates that they were alerted by a witness to the woman’s driving.  This witness told the deputies that a tan Acura was driving in an erratic pattern down the road, weaving in and out of lanes, and at one point leaving its lane entirely and traveling down the incorrect side of the highway for a sustained period of time. Driver Had 6+ Beers in Fatal Daytona Beach Hit-and-Run

Police officers in Daytona Beach arrested a 63-year-old man last Thursday after he was involved in an accident that resulted in the death of a 35-year-old pedestrian. The initial reports from the Daytona Beach Police Department recounted how Correa, was driving his car down South Nova Road, close to this road’s intersection with Forest Glen Boulevard, when he struck Bovee. Bovee was on foot, walking along South Nova Road, when Correa’s maroon Mitsubishi Raider hit and fatally injured her. Read the rest »

DUI Charges for Flagler County Man Who Crashed Truck

The dangerous driving of an intoxicated man in Flagler ended last Monday after he crashed his car into a canal. Deputies working for the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office were first alerted to the possibility of an impaired driver when numerous witnesses called emergency services to report the erratic driving of a Ford F-150 throughout Bunnell, specifically near Redwood Street.
